About Ryan
Ryan Goldvine is a seasoned labour relations professional, with experience working for and on behalf of unions, employers and in government over the past fourteen years. With skills and experience in labour arbitration and mediation, as well as labour relations board and human rights mediation and litigation in both BC and Ontario, he is well situated to assist all parties to a dispute in finding a resolution that allows them to move forward, or deciding the dispute on its merits.
Ryan also currently sits as a part-time member of the BC Human Rights Tribunal and the BC Employment Standards Tribunal
Mediation
Where the parties agree, I’ll work with the parties to try and reach a negotiated settlement of the issues in dispute. Even where this may not be successful, the process still helps to narrow the issues and clarify what remains to be resolved.
Arbitration
Where the parties can’t reach a mediated resolution, or where the parties are clear on where they are apart, I’ll work with the parties to hear and rule on facts, evidence, and argument, and issue a final and binding decision to the parties in a thorough and timely manner.
Case Management
You know what they say about justice delayed…I can assist the parties with ensuring preliminary matters are dealt with in a timely fashion in advance of a hearing and set the parties up with a clear and transparent process.
